A Review: The Love Hypothesis


Null hypothesis: Romcoms do not affect brain chemistry.


Alternative hypothesis: Romcoms affect brain chemistry.


Methods: The bookworm utilized a qualitative approach in gathering data about the present condition through reading and analyzing Ali Hazelwood’s The Love Hypothesis (Berkley Romance, September 2021).


Findings: Due to romantic elation, increased levels of serotonin and dopamine were detected, as evident in the number of page tabs displayed on the book's fore-edge (see photo).


Conclusion: At a 5% significance level, there is sufficient evidence to support the claim that romcoms, such as Ali Hazelwood's The Love Hypothesis, affect brain chemistry. the bookworm concludes that this title sits at 4.5/5.
