Dark Magic Book Tour

I went in cold with Raluca Narita's Dark Magic, the first book of its series, and went on to enjoy a lot of things from this book.

First, the premise was unique with gods, deities, and characters borrowed from Greek mythology and the Grimm Brothers, some of whom the author gave backstories and interesting plot lines.

Second, Primrose was such a relatable character! I loved how she's depicted and written as a strong yet vulnerable fmc who goes through an existential crisis whilst re-evaluating her life, which strongly resonated with me.

Lastly, for a first in a series, I loved how well-balanced the world building was, though I still think there needs to be a lot of fleshing out for certain aspects in the story that were introduced and glossed over, which hopefully the author would tackle in the future sequels.

Overall, Dark Magic sits satisfyingly at 3.75 stars as a fun epic tale of romance and mythology.

Thank you to Raluca and TBR and Beyond Tours for sending me an e-galley and promotional box of this delightful book in exchange for a review as a part of this blog tour.
